2010-11-17 Writing

Today, we reviewed on our learning styles.
There are three types of learning styles; auditory, visual, and kinesthetic/tacitile. I was all balanced but more of auditory learner. I don't know if I am learning better while I'm hearing, but I notice that I listen harder than other people. I think it's because of all the chapels I attended on Sunday:).
Then, we read about all the jobs we can have later. I was surprised that there were so many jobs and they each needed high skills. I also want to have a profession and want to be valuable to the society through my job.

2010-11-15 Writing 1

Today, I had a learning style and career survey. Our class each had to solve 200 questions. After we solved all our questions, we received the result of our survey.
After this test, I could understand my characteristics and what I want to do more detailedly. But because the questions are bit abstract and human's characteristics are not only one sided, I chose "I'm not sure" much.

11/12/2010 Writing

Today, each student recieved a sheet with about 20 carrier values wirtten on. We used scissors to cut them and paste/tape them on a separate sheet of colored paper. We listed them according to our values toward them. As we made  this arrangement, we thought about our values and our lifestyle. I was surprised that "earning money" was at the lower bottom part of my list. Most people look for a high paying job. But as a Chiristian, money was worth less than the virtues, time, and natural characteristics that God gave me.
 For example, the most important career I chose was "thinking good about myself" because I though I first should be satisfied with what God gave me. I  thought about how I should live my life; chasing the material world, or chasing God.

I like to help others and see them happy.

2. Direct others
I think I am good at leading and directing others to do something.

3. Perform, act
Many people says I am really talented in acting and I should be an actor.

4. Tri-lingual
I can speak English and Korean fluently, and I can speak Chinese almost fluently.

5. Manage money
I try to get profit. I got profit by currency and investing on stock.

6. Music appriciation/ instruments
I like to listen and play music. I practice piano

How do you plan on choosing a career?
First, I want a career that God wants me to have.
Second, I want to have a carrer that I can enjoy and that I can help others through it.
Third, I want to have a free and a high paying job.

Does your gender make a difference?
Yes. I think I would have to support my family so I need a high paying job.
I also can have more world wide job because I have a stronger body.



Who will help you choose a career?
Mostly, God and my parents. I'm sure that God would somehow lead me through his will.
My teachers can help too by finding my talents and developing my interests.


Can the Bible offer any help?
Yes. I can know what God wants me to do by knowing his characteristics.
I can also develop spiritually myself to have a better career.
I can find useful scriptures to find something I  am passionate about.
